Het ontwerp is fris, nieuw en zit vol met handige voorzieningen om het gebruiksgemak en de precisie zo hoog mogelijk te maken. Een paar voorbeelden van de slimme idee\u00ebn die Celestron in deze montering gestopt heeft; Interne RA en DEC motoren zonder losse snoeren, ergonomische draaiknoppen voor het instellen van de altitude en azimuth, permanente periodieke fout correctie en All-Star pool uitlijning procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Een aantal van deze slimme zaken is speciaal gericht op de veeleisende astro fotograaf die een mobiele opstelling wenst. De periodieke fout correctie onthoud bijvoorbeeld de PEC opname, zodat deze niet iedere keer opnieuw getraind hoeft te worden. Voor het zeer nauwkeurig uitlijnen op de pool as heeft Celestron een speciale softwarematige procedure toegevoegd aan de NexStar controller, genaamd &#8220;All-Star&#8221;. Deze procedure helpt u een precieze pool uitlijning te verkrijgen door u te vragen naar een aantal heldere sterren. De CGEM II kan ook voorbij de hemel meridiaan volgen, zodat uw opname niet ineens verpest wordt doordat de montering ineens een &#8220;buis-flip&#8221; uitvoert.<\/p>\n<p>De Schmidt-Cassegrain optiek van de CGEM II 925 telescoop is voorzien van een mechanisme dat de hoofdspiegel beweegt voor het focussen en wordt ondersteund door twee kogellagers om de gevreesde &#8220;mirror flop&#8221; te voorkomen. Deze\u00a0CGEM II 925 telescoop\u00a0beschikt over een een F\/3 hoofdspiegel en een 3,3 x vergrotende secundaire spiegel. Hiermee kan tijdens het fabricageproces een grotere\u00a0nauwkeurigheid van de optiek behaald worden.\u00a0Vanwege deze hoge kwaliteit is de C9.25 al jarenlang erg populair bij astro fotografen.
